PRESENTATION OF THE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM ATRM 5

Why?

Inheritor of our now famous automatic timing & management system, ATRM 5 presents a new architecture with many advantages without giving up the heart of the automatic solution, which has made us famous, now called ATRM "Classic".

The new features are part of a range of options whose implementation depends on the choice of the Organising Committees.

How ?

The interventions of our company with the automatic timing and race management system are always in the form of provision of services including our team and the necessary equipment.

The service includes the delivery and the printing of the riders' veterinary cards and the back up veterinary forms of the Ground Jury. All events are managed by the system which also broadcasts live results on the venue(s) as well as on the Internet (subject to the presence or availability of the network). At the end of the rides results, once validated by the President of the Ground Jury, are released in final form.

When the listings provided to us by the organization before the rides are complete, we take care of sending the results under the formats required by the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) and FFE (French Equestrian Federation). Other formats are possible (Belgium, etc.).

Field of use

This system is suitable for all types of endurance competition. It is more specifically designed for major international events and rides of prestige.

PRESENTATION OF THE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM ATRM "Classic"

Why ?

Our company (ATRM Systems for Automatic Timing and Race Management Systems) began with the implementation of a revolutionary management and automatic timing system for endurance riding. This pioneering system has become a true standard.

The automatic system of our society is based on the fact that it was imperative to create a system of accurate and reliable timekeeping for endurance riding that ensures fairness, credibility and simplifies the lives of competitors and their assistants as well as that of organizers and juries.

The system (used for the first time under the name ATRM 4 on July 2004) has introduced innovative ways to do and was so well integrated in the discipline that we often hear people say that it is missing when it is not in use. Some "competing" companies have "adopted" our innovations such as specific headstalls for the transponders, the automatic countdown boards for the starts, the informative stickers, etc.. It now seems so "natural" that one would easily tend to forget the origin of all this.

The system also allows real-time broadcasting of results in progress by the Internet, paper publications in real time, such as video screens on the venues, etc..

It is also coupled to the 3D GPS tracking system of SF Sports Tracking (EUVE brand).

This specific automatic detection system belongs to the FAT type (Full Automatic Time) without which, in other sports like athletics, there can be no valid major competitions or certified records. It avoids the manipulations and eliminates human interference in time taking, which is a guarantee of equity in a sport where riders are engaged simultaneously in a race against time and are often grouped together. Without this kind of concept it is impossible to meet the time without any interference on the rides of competitors for large groups. A little over 100 horses entering vet gate in less than 5 minutes or 60 in 2 minutes without any interference or "technical" slowdown is just normal for our automatic system and as unacceptable and impossible manually.

PRESENTATION OF NGC 5128, semi-AUTOMATIC SYSTEM, version with assistance

Why ?

Whereas on one side we have a remarkable tool that has proven to be reliable with our automatic system and, on the other, the vast majority of the organizers of "minor races" (mostly speed-controlled rides) have only Excel spreadsheets more or less adapted or evolved, we decided to create a software for them which would be cheap but benefiting from the "engine " of our well known automatic system to make their lives easier and improve the quality of their services significantly .

This semi-automatic system is called NGC 5128.

How ?

The system adapts itself to all types of configuration and accepts connections by network cable , WiFi or CPL (Powerline).

It has the features of the automatic system (information stickers, edition of results on local printer, start boards with automatic countdown and color indicator of next loop for each rider, number of simultaneous events virtually unlimited, etc..

It is based on two main modules:

1. Preparation of the rides with automatic processing from entry files. etc.

2, Management of rides with multiple functions such as, for example, late entries at the venue, addition, removal of competitors, changes in numbers of bibs, parameter changes during the ride, publishing on demand, etc..

Instant entering of time with numbers matching bibs entered just after to manage many and grouped arrivals with maximum precision.     

This system is managed by a reduce ATRM team and active participation of the Organising Committee. The ATRM team moves with the necessary equipment and manages the whole competition with the help of available volunteers. The organizing committee is using its own veterinarians cards. Benefits for riders are similar to those of the automatic system. The results can be posted on our website (subject to existence of an available network) in the form of pdf files at the end of each phase.

Field of use

This  assisted version of the NGC 5128 system is primarily intended  to events with free speed rides having no more than 30/35 starters (unrestricted number for limited speed rides ). It is economical and allows the Organising Committees to significantly improve the level of benefits to riders and the general quality of their competition when they have few starters and a limited budget.

PRESENTATION OF NGC 5128, semi-AUTOMATIC SYSTEM, version without assistance

Why ?

This semi-automatic system is called NGC 5128.

How ?

The system adapts itself to all types of configuration and accepts connections by network cable , WiFi or CPL (Powerline).

It has the features of the automatic system (information stickers, edition of results on local printer, start boards with automatic countdown and color indicator of next loop for each rider, number of simultaneous events virtually unlimited, etc..

It is based on two main modules:

1. Preparation of the rides with automatic processing from entry files of the French or Belgian Federation, easy numbering (automatic when bibs are a whole series, identification of rides with publishing of the listings of competitors, adhesive labels for folders and veterinary cards, pre-formatting of the rides according to the regulations in force, etc.).

2, Management of rides with multiple functions such as, for example, late entries at the venue, addition, removal of competitors, changes in numbers of bibs, parameter changes during the ride, publishing on demand, etc..

This module has 3 types of input:

           A. Instant entering of time with numbers matching bibs entered just after to manage many and grouped arrivals with maximum precision.

           B. Entering several bib numbers with the same initial start time for limited speed rides. 

           C: Capture using a virtual pad with auto-sized keys (cells) with numbers. At the passage of a competitor, the operator presses the cell corresponding to the bib. It is obvious that this type of input is only suitable for arrivals apart because the time of the rider is only entered when the operator touches the right cell.

Option: Capture using a touch pad with auto-sized keys with numbers. At the passage of a competitor, the operator presses the button for the race number (as for the keyboard said "C"). It is obvious that this type of input is suitable only for non grouped arrivals because it is the pressing of the key that gives the time of the rider.

The software is made freely available to the organizers, at their request (subject to eligibility). they obtain permission to use it through a contract where the only fee is a cost per starting rider depending on the number of phases.

The system has a hotline and is subject to updates based on improvements and regulatory changes.

We can offer a basic kit pre-installed, but this system can run on any compatible computer (see picture).

Field of use

This version is for Organising Committees of regional competitions that have mostly limited-speed rides (with one free speed ride for example).

This version is very economical and works with a modest cost associated with the use which can be directly reflected in the amounts of entries, It is suitable for events having a very small budget.
